You're going to be hard pressed to find someone to disagree that both these guys are fucked in the head. So in that regard, yeah. They're both cowards. But take note that nobody on post besides law enforcement was armed. That's why Ali Akbar was able to inflict 40+ casualties before being stopped. Interesting that both the Orlando shooter and the Fort Hood shooter had received poor performance reviews on the job. The engineer in Orlando was let go because his work product wasn't up to standard. The doctor got a bad evaluation at the last hospital where he was a fellow. Thats a commonality, I would think, 2 people who put many years into preparing for their careers but weren't good in their chosen field.
