Hurricane Ida Threatens US Gulf Coast

Hurricane Ida is now a category 2 storm with winds at 100 mph. She claimed 54 victims in El Salvador. Hurricane watches are out for areas from Grand Isle, Louisiana, eastward to the Mississippi-Alabama border, but DOES NOT include New Orleans.

Apparently the conditions right now in the gulf are unfavorable for further development, but could still be a tropical storm as it approaches land. One to keep an eye on.....
