The Commander and Chief Test....ABC Cheated

ABC withheld information favorable to Barack Obama last week when it released its latest poll. They withheld the actual results of the poll which had Obama winning 50-42 over McCain if the election was held tomorrow. The did however release the number we have been hearing about for a week....that 70% of people see McCain as commander and chief like while only 50% see Obama that way.

Remember, all the moronic finance teams that budgeted for 2008, and predicted Clinton-McCain or Guiliani battle, expected HUGE fall revenues from advertisements from the intense political interest. They expected a bloodbath which would in turn mean higher revenues. If it is a blowout, they don't get paid and their companies lose a lot of money. THEY CAN'T, FINANCIALLY, LET OBAMA WIN THIS IN A WALK, and they will do everything they can to prevent it.

NOT to say I'm glad he died but Russert would have been an instrument of bringing Obama down to competitive with McCain. Brokaw is a different ilk; he sees himself as a journalist and journalism has standards. Russert was never a journalist so he wouldn't have any ethical problems with going after one with gotcha questions and giving the other virtually a free ride.

This whole "Obama is a victim of the media" mentality has to go. It's childish and really kind of pathetic. He'll either win or lose and then things can be looked back upon, but this daily whining about the media being against him is very Clinton-esque.

I can see both sides, but I don't think the calls of media bias against Obama are coming from the Obama camp themselves. They are actually coming from Obama supporters, whereas Hillary was charging it HERSELF. So while I actually like the term 'Clintonesque', I don't think it's use is justifiable when talking about Obama. It seems to me that the media is OBSESSED with Obama and this probably leads to him being covered with a fine-toothed comb. They are bored with McCain and therefore, he doesn't make news.

However, I don't think it's appropriate to continue letting the MSM desperatly try to make this a closer contest than it actually is. AND, to let every single gaffe made by McCain go uncovered. They aren't unnoticed, the media just doesn't cover them! If they did, the polls would be at about 55% for Obama. Any person with a minimal brain that has been following his candidacy would cringe at the thought of McCain being president and would realize it wouldn't be much of a deviation from Bush's mangling of poise and prose.
